Customers in webshop can get a discount on items in two different ways. Either that the items are discounted in Quick and apply to all customers, or that a price list is created with a webshop discount code that only applies to items bought via the webshop.
Without using a webshop discount code:
A discount can be set on items in Quick3 either by creating a new price list, or setting a discount on items in the basic price list. (Note that if the items are to be discounted in a given date period, separate price lists should be created so that the base price list is not affected by date controls).
In order for the discount to be clearly marked on items in the webshop, the discount percentage must be entered in the field "discount 1 (out)". Then there will be a "bubble" with a discount on item cards in the webshop.
Webshop discount code:
Inside a price list, you can set a discount code that will apply to items on the webshop. This means that customers only get the discount if they use the relevant code in the checkout. The code is defined in the field "Webshop discount code", and the discount percentage the customer should receive with the discount code is defined in the field "discount 1 (out)".
In the example below, we have a price list that gives selected caps a 30% discount by using the code "CAPS30" in the shopping cart.
This is how one of the caps we have discounted with a webshop discount code looks like. Apparently there is no discount on this one:
But if we put this item in the basket, go to checkout and enter the discount code "CAPS30" in the field for discount codes, we will see that the discount code is green (which means it is valid) and the item will be discounted by 30%.
