Shipping rules

You can set shipping rules on the shipping method, items and item groups in order to allow or disallow, show or hide different shipping methods for these items in the webshop.

How to create Shipping Rules:

Shipping rules are set up under the Shipping rules tab which you can find in the main menu, or shortcut Alt+H search "Shipping rules".

Add a shipping rule by clicking + in the top right corner, and give it a name and description. You can create as many rules as you want.

Note! The rule must then be linked to an item/item group and a shipping method.

Connect shipping rule to an item:

On the item card, select shipping rules under the Item info tab, click search or search by entering the name of the rule you want to use.

Connect shipping rule to shipping method:

Under Consignments > Deliverymethods tab, shipping rules are linked to the different delivery methods. Here there are two ways to use a rule, you can use the rule to say requires or denies.

In the case above, we created a rule that says "PickUp", and now we need to connect this Shipping rule to the type of delivery method(s) that we want to require or deny pickup. 

Type of Shipping Rule, Denies:

If, for example, you have an item that is too large or heavy to be sent as a postal package, you can use a rule that will not allow you to choose the shipping method and thus not display the delivery method(s) in the webshop.

Type of Shipping Rule, Requires:

With this type, you can set up a rule that requires you to choose, for example, "Pick up in store" or other kinds delivery methods.

How to add FREE SHIPPING above a certain order amount:

You can decide that a customer should get free shipping if they shop for a certain order amount. This is done by marking the shipping method you want the shipping rule to apply to. And below the "Prices" field, you set the price and the amount that the rule should apply to.
