Tags manager

Before you start

Tags can be used in most views in Quick3, including customers, resources, items, entitys, tasks, offers, orders and invoices.

You can build your own tag system under the "Tag manager" menu, according to your needs. You will find examples for usage in the bottom of the article.

Create tag

  1. Click the + button to create a new tag, and name it.
  2. Choose colour.
  3. Add an icon to make it even more recognizable(read more in the section "Add icon"). ❌Norsk bilde❌

Add icon

  1. Go to https://fontawesome.com/search and search for, for example "Car", then click on the icon you want to use.
  2. Copy the code highlighted inside the square in the image, and paste it into the icon field in Quick3.

Variations

You can add variations of a tag to make it even more searchable.

Here, we want the tag to be called "Vehicle arrived" but we also want to find it by just searching for "Arrived".

In this case, we add a variation called "Arrived". Now, in orders or the order search, you can type "Arrived" in the search field and find/select the "Vehicle arrived" tag.

Use of tags

Add tags to order

Tags are added at the top of the view by clicking the + icon, where you can search for tags you have saved.

This setup is completely customized to your needs. For example, in a workshop order with the order status "Waiting for Parts," you might add tags indicating that "the vehicle has arrived," "it is an insurance case," and "some of the parts have been sent for painting." This can be set up entirely according to your requirements

Searchability

After the tag(s) is added to the order, it can then be used to search in the order search. In this case, we have only one order where the vehicle has arrived and is also an insurance case.

Examples of use

The only limit here is imagination, but to give a few examples.

Tagging orders:

  • Vehicle arrived / Not arrived.
  • Insurance cases.
  • External jobs, such as parts sent for painting.

  • Seasonal storage.
  • Unconfirmed delivery time of goods from the supplier.
  • Avaiting reply from customer.

Tagging items:

  • Frequently used item numbers regardless of supplier
  • If you sell, for example, cross goggles, and they are in the product group "Equipment," you can further tag them with "goggles," manufacturer/model name, etc.
