Stock status texts for webshop

Modified on Thu, 3 Aug, 2023 at 2:59 PM

In the webshop, you can display the stock status of your items, which will ensure that customers know what can be bought, are order items or have sold out. The stock status is shown on the items with different icons and colours, depending on the stock status of the item.

See example below:

In addition to showing the stock status with icons and colors, you can see explanatory text by holding the mouse pointer over the icon. For example, the number of items in stock, or how many delivery days there are before the item is shipped, if it is a made-to-order item.

Creating stock status texts

In the Webshop Settings you will find stock status texts at the bottom of the page. Here you can add different stock statuses and decide what should be displayed on the website. You must also set a from-to number for when the stock status texts are to be changed in relation to what the stock of the goods is. Remember to save at the top right corner.

  • Stock status: Selects which stock status to write text for.
  • Text: What is written in the field for text will be displayed as text in the webshop when you hover the icon, or will be displayed next to the icon inside the item card. By typing #STOCKQUANTITY#, the number of items in stock is displayed automatically. #DELIVERYDAYS# says how many order days there are from the supplier, and changes depending on which supplier the item has and their respective delivery days. NB! Remember to put the number of days on the supplier card. This is done under conditions. You can also just write a general text that does not say anything about the actual number/delivery days.
  • Quantity: These columns determine which text and status will be displayed in the webshop when the number of items in stock changes. For example, we put "out of stock (order item) when inventory is 0 or negative. As soon as we get items in stock, it will become "in stock (#STOCKQUANTITY#pcs)"

PS. Stock status "Secondary location" is reserved for those who have PartShare in Quick3.
