Focus items

In Quick3, you have the option of setting up focus items. These are items you want to highlight for various reasons. For example, there may be best sellers in an item group group, or seasonal products that you want to highlight in season. You can place focus items either on the front page of the webshop, or in item groups. We will now show you how to create a focus item type:

Go to the main menu and find Focus items 

Create a new Focus Item type by clicking the plus sign on the right in the column for "focus item types".

The description field will be the name of the focus group in the webshop. The code can be custom-defined if the focus items are to be placed in an item group, but if the items are to be placed on the front page of the webshop, the code MUST be "front". When these two fields are filled in, click save in the right corner.

When you have created a focus item type, add items by clicking on the plus sign on the right in the "focus items for" column.

There you search in the Item search for the products you want to highlight.

On the image below, we have created three different focus item types with items in each of them:

If you want to have a specific order for the items that are in focus, you put numbers under priority as you want to present the items.

Time interval for focus items

If you want to highlight items in a specific time period, this is possible to do. For example, if you want to highlight different items for Easter, you can select "from date" and "to date" on either the entire focus item type or on individual items. Then they will be visible, only in the selected period of time.

Add focus item type to front page

For a focus item type to appear on the website's front page, the code must be "front". It will then look like this in the webshop:

If you want several focal item types on the front page in a specific order, you can set priority on the different types that have been created.

Add focus product type at product group level

When you have defined focus item types with products under "focus items", these must be retrieved and added to a item group. Then you go to the item group and find the tab for "focus item types". Then, press the plus sign on the right:

When you have clicked on the plus sign, tick the item(s) you want to add. The focus product type(s) will then be linked to the item group selected. Remember to save when you're done.

In the webshop, the focus items will appear above the rest of the items in the item group, and will look like this:
