Introduction
Availability is not its own module in Quick3, but rather a new tab that you can find in various views throughout the client, e.g. Item, Sales Order, Purchase Requirement, Picklist, etc.. The tab gives you access to an exhaustive dataset related to items, like:
- Current stock, and stock value
- Amounts reserved on orders
- Incoming amounts on purchase orders
Availability is a powerful tool for you to extract relevant statistics about nearly every aspect of items, item groups, purchase requirements, and other similar information.
General
You can use the availability tab for accomplishing many different tasks; Item swaps, order searches, setting the maximum and minimum stock amount, and so on. The tab can also show you the stock availability from your suppliers if they're integrated into your Quick3 client.
The view of the tab itself is customized to your user depending on which view you're in, so you can freely select which columns and what information you would like presented to you without worrying that your coworkers will mess with your setup.
If you need to look up alternative items--say, if an item you need is sold out--it is also possible to show item connections. This gives you the opportunity to find the items you need, regardless if they're in stock locally or remotely.
Performing an item swap via the Availability tab
From the availability view, check the "Load connected items" option. Click the icon next to the item number of the item you wish to swap. This will open the Item connections tab for this specific item. From the new tab, check the item you wish to swap to, click the Hamburger menu, and then "Swap item".
